As a longtime Las Vegan and founder of Community Management Group, Courtney Murphy is dedicated to the community she serves.
Courtney established Community Management Group in 2009 to provide ethical, quality management services to communities. The company works with HOA board members, vendors and residents to balance fiscal responsibility, cutting edge technology, homeowner education and a positive atmosphere for all the communities it serves. Backed by years of industry experience and dozens of certifications, the CMG team delivers exceptional customer service while partnering with communities to assist in decisions to maintain their property values and ensure the preservation of the association’s financial health.
Committed to adhering to the high ethical standards, Courtney has earned several designations awarded to individuals who have passed the Community Associations Institute’s professional management courses and adhere to a professional code of ethics. She is a licensed Nevada community manager and has achieved her Professional Community Association Manager’s designation (PCAM®), which is the highest national designation available in the Homeowners Association Management industry. Courtney has also earned her Association Management Specialist (AMS®) national designation and is nationally recognized by the NBC CAM as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®).
Courtney’s strong work ethic, countless hours of volunteering in her community, and her desire to serve those around her has helped make CMG one of the Nevada's most trusted names in the community management industry. She was recognized by the Vegas Inc. as one of its 40 Under 40 of 2012 as well as a Rising Star in 2012 by the Las Vegas Business Press.
Eric has been a licensed community manager since 2011 and a supervising community manager since 2013. As the HOA Division Director for CMG, Eric provides oversight to all of our community management teams. He currently serves as the Vice Chair for The Nevada Association of Community Managers (NACM), the Chair of the Legislative Committee for NACM and was nominated as CAI’s Community Manager of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Eric is incredibly enthusiastic about community management and volunteers his time during legislative years to monitor bills and testify in front of the legislators to protect communities in Nevada. “I love being able to help homeowners and Boards problem solve and improve their communities and homes. To be able to drive through a community and take pride in knowing that you have a part in keeping it beautiful or making it better than when you started working on it is a very rewarding feeling.”
MaLisa has been working in the HOA industry since 2008 and oversees the accounting department. With the help of her team, she ensures each community’s financials are prepared accurately each month and monitors expenses compared to the annual budget. MaLisa is always available to help our board members read and understand the financial statements, provide options for investing reserve funds or help keep the community on track for long term goals. Her dedication to her job is extraordinary and she always strives to exceed all of our board member’s expectations.
Myles has served as a community inspector since 1989 and has witnessed HOA industry evolve drastically over the years. He served for his community’s board for 12 years and was a licensed community manager for 9 years. His unique background makes him the ideal community inspector as he has experience from all sides of the inspection process – as a homeowner, a board member and a community manager. He received the Section Seven HOA award for outstanding service in 1999, served on the Master Plan Steering Committee for the City of Las Vegas in 1999 and received a certificate of appreciate from the City of Las Vegas as part of the National Neighborhood Day in 2006.
